How to download your raw file (you stay logged in on their site)
- AncestryDNA: Sign in at Ancestry → DNA → Settings / DNA data → download raw DNA data. Save the .txt or .zip. We never take your Ancestry login.
- 23andMe: Sign in → account Settings → 23andMe Data (or Resources → Browse Raw Genotyping Data) → request / download Raw Data. You get a .zip with a .txt inside. We never take your 23andMe login.
- MyHeritage: Sign in → DNA → Manage DNA kits → kit menu → Download. Confirm by email, then download the .csv or .zip. We never take your MyHeritage login.
Kit waits differ by vendor. If you do not have a file yet, an AncestryDNA kit is currently listed at about US$99 from Ancestry (excludes shipping; sales change — check Ancestry.com). Need a kit first? If you buy through our link, we may earn a commission.
